In response to the earthquake
that devastated Haiti on Tuesday, January 12, 2010, Holy Bible Baptist Church (an Haitian Congregation) located
at 45 College Avenue, (Davis Square) Somerville MA 02144 is appealing to the general public to assist in the relief of our
people in Haiti.
Cash donations are strongly encouraged to allow us to provide immediate direct assistance to the victims. Please donate cash to Haitian Earthquake Relief Fund or drop off specific items that will be part of our SURVIVAL KIT DRIVE. Our volunteers will be on site to screen the donations and will only accept the following items: - Baby needs (diapers, wipes, formula dry and baby food, clothes) - Blankets and sheets (unopened in store wrapping) - Non-battery radios and flashlights (windup or solar) - Candles (loose or in packages) - Toiletries (shampoo, soap, toothpaste, hand sanitizer) - Over the counter medicine (Band-aid, Tylenol, Ibuprofen) These items can be dropped off from Sunday, January 17th through March 3, 2010 from 10AM to 2:00PM. We are planning on shipping the week of March 12, 2010.
