NURSERY

Holy Bible Baptist Churchs Nursery is available for infants and toddlers up through age four. It is a caring, nurturing environment where your child can experience Gods love. It provides parents the opportunity to worship and attend adult education forums and classes knowing that their young children are in a safe and nurturing place. Experienced caregivers serve in the Nursery. The Nursery is open on Sunday mornings from 10:00 am to 12:30 pm. No reservations are required for Sunday mornings.

Information

There is a minimum of five adult caregivers in the nursery at all times. The caregivers have received CPR training as well as internal operating guidelines training. To learn more about our caregivers, contact Myriam Piervil at 617-775-0213.

Signing In

Once you have completed a family registration form ( click here to register) we ask that you check in with our Nursery Receptionist each Sunday. A nametag for your child will be completed and place on his/her back, if possible (theyre less likely to remove it if its on their back). As a safety measure, please enter only through the door marked Nursery. We welcome you to stay until your child is comfortable, but keep in mind that most children settle in a few minutes after your departure. Many times the Nursery is the first place that a child experiences detachment from their parents, and we encourage you to allow them the time that is necessary for your child to adjust. We require that whichever parent enters their children into the Nursery is the same parent that retrieves them. Children will not be released to older siblings.

What to Bring

Please bring a labeled bag (free HBBC ID tags are available, ask a caregiver for one) which includes a pacifier (if your child uses one), at least two diapers, a change of clothes, and all personal items your child may need such as wipes, ointment, bottles, and/or comforting blankets. All personal items should be labeled before arrival. If you forget diapers and wipes, we have some on hand.

Health Guidelines

For the protection of all children and caregivers please do not bring your child to the Nursery if he or she is ill. If a child becomes ill while in the nursery, the parents will be asked to take the child home. Nursery staff cannot administer medication. Children who have experienced any of the following symptoms within the past 24 hours should not come to the nursery: fever, diarrhea, nausea, vomiting, undiagnosed rashes or sores, on-going cough, runny eyes and nose, and/or symptoms of childhood illnesses such as measles, chicken pox, mumps, influenza, strep throat, or head lice.

This Board of Servant-leaders shares between themselves the load of 12 exclusive ministries inside the deaconate, and 12 major units that constitute the general administration of the Holy Bible Baptist Church. The Council meets for reports, reviews and planning every other month.

The Board of deacons is divided into 3 groups: Congregational, Administrative and Family deacons and it is led by Deacon Jean J. Lacombe and Deaconess Claire Rose Belacy. They are the two oldest of the board.

While the deacons deal more directly with individuals and/or family members of the church, the Leaders of the Department supervise, coordinate the programs and activities of the Association or the Department he/she is called to serve.
